M.R Josse, a former chief editor of The Rising Nepal, was Nepal’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, 1985-1990. During 1988-89, he served as Nepal’s Alternative Representative to the UN Security Council.
Presently Consultant Editor, the People’s Review weekly, he is also a regular contributor to other Nepalese journals. In the past he has served as foreign correspondent or contributing editor for a number of South Asian Newspapers or publications.
Widely traveled, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Calcutta University and Master in Arts degree in International Relations from Jadavpur University, Calcutta. He has to his credit thousands of Published articles on Nepalese politics, regional and international affairs, as well as on issues related to the media. he is author, Nepal and the World An Editor’s Notebook, Vol. 1 & II published in Kathmandu in 1985
