Kamal P. Malla (b. 1937) B.A. Hons. (Leeds), Ph.D. (Edinburgh) teaches. English at the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tribhuvan Uni- versity, Kirtipur campus, where he is Professor and Chairman of the English Department. He has been teaching English since 1959. He has published extensively in English. His publications include Eliot’s The Waste Land: An Essay on the Structure of Meaning (1961), Fugi- tive Essays (1967), Kathmandu Your Kathmandu (1967), and Nepal in Perspective (1973) which he edited jointly with Pashupati Shumshere J.B. Rana, He has edited four books in the Newari language and is currently an editor of Tribhuvan University Journal.
