Payal Goes to School – Anbika Giri

It is so hard to grow up as a girl in our society! All Payal wanted to do was to go to school, study hard, and become a strong woman who helps people in her society. But her community likes to marry off their daughters while still in school because families don’t want to give big dowries.
Payal had to find the courage to fight her family and community to get them to stop her marriage. This is her story.
