About the author
Kamal Raj Dhungel, born in the wooden roofed house called PHALEK GHARE, a nickname of his father that is why in his childhood he was popularly known as Phalek Ghare Kanchho (a youngest one out of seven children of his parents). He spent his childhood in a remote and small village Kabre of Dolakha District of Nepal. Presently, he lives in Duwakot, Bhaktapur. He attended Tribhuvan University earning a degree in economics. He was also awarded a Ph.D from the same University for his dissertation “Trends and Patterns of Energy Consumption in Nepal”. Prof. Dhungel worked in Tribhuvan University. When he was in service, despite teaching, he wrote and published a number of articles in national and international journals. In addition a number of books have been published. Among those titles are Readings in Nepalese Economy, A Hand Book of Benefit Cost Analysis, Energy Issues in Nepal: A Macro Level Analysis and Investment Prospects and Challenges for Hydropower Development in Nepal. The present book is the outcome of continuous writing since leaving university in 2015. Dr. Dhungel is serving as editor and editorial board member and reviewer of various international journals such as Plentium Global Journal of Social sciences and Humanity, the International Journal of Econometrics and Financial Management, Journal of Econometrics and Public Finance etc. He is an OP-ED writer or columnist of national dailies and is contributing more than 300 articles in both English and Nepali.
