Fundamentals of Healthcare Professions – Ramesh P Aacharya

Prof. Dr. Ramesh Prasad Aacharya, born in Sindhuli district, Nepal had his school education in Pragatisheel High School in his village followed by Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine, MBBS and MD in General Practice from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu. In addition, he had Erasmus Mundus Masters in Bioethics (EMMB) from the consortium of universities – KU Leuven, Belgium, Radboud University, The Netherlands and Padova University, Italy.
Prof. Aacharya started his health professional career as a Health Assistant which excelled up to the ‘Professor of General Practice’ in Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine and ‘Director of Planning, Coordination and Academic Upgrading Directorate’ in Medical Education Commission, the national regulatory authority for health professions education.
Prof. Aacharya has recently retired from his regular job and is embarking on sharing his expertise and experiences with colleagues and students in various ways and this publication is an attempt in this direction.
