The author describes a tragic time through characters struggling on American soil. In the novel, the characteristics found between the American and Nepali society and culture and the fascination with one’s own identity are seriously raised. The aim of the novel is to show the existence of Nepali society on American soil. Written with the focus on suffering rather than suffering from deprivation, this novel speaks a little bit of the past, a little bit of the present. And, there is hope for the future.
