This is the story of a police officer who was appointed to solve the murders, which had taken place at Hotel Derek. In the past, the hotel had been a Portuguese military guest house in Goa, India. One fateful night, much to everyone’s horror, the officer was brutally murdered in the house of the hotel owner. His murder was committed in a similar fashion to the past killings and the culprit left no clues to his identity. The police commissioner was thoroughly schocked by the loss of his best officer. Especially as the commissioner had been sure this officer, who had a reputation for solving complicated cases that had been left unsolved for years, would resolve the Hotel Derek murders.
