About The Book
The book is an indepth study of the nine-year period (1877- 85) termed as ” troubled years” in the history of modern Nepal. During these fateful years, the conspiratorial politics inside the Nepali court was at its climax, and Nepal’s relations with her neighbours were at their worst. The trend which developed during these critical years has far-reaching impact on the internal and external politics of Nepal throughout the Rana regime.
Based mainly on unpublished documents and papers- indigenous and foreign- the book is a rare piece of research, Thoroughly original and authoritative, it is a significant contribution to Nepali historiography.
